Make it yours: profile, password, light & dark mode

Your account, your look, your login.

  • Where Account menu › Profile

Tradesly is mostly about your business — but a few things belong to you alone: your name, your login, how the screen looks, and whether the office should count on you right now. None of it takes more than five minutes, and all of it makes the everyday better. Every account has these, whatever its role.

1 The steps

1

Open Profile from your account menu.

Put your real name in — it's how you show up to everyone else on the team.

2

Change your password while you're on that page.

Pick something you don't use anywhere else; this account can see your customers' history.

3

Pick your look under Appearance.

Light, Dark, or Follow your device to match whatever your phone or computer is doing.

4

Set your status in the header.

Available, Busy or Break — it's how the office knows who it can turn to when a live call needs a person.

2 Your profile

Your Profile page holds your name and personal details. Fill it in properly — your name is how you show up to the rest of your team, so “Mike R.” beats the email address you signed up with.

The same page is where you change your password. Do it whenever you have a reason to — and pick something you don't use anywhere else. Your account can see your customers' history, so its password deserves better than your Wi-Fi password with an exclamation mark on the end.

3 Light, dark, or let your device decide

The Appearance menu switches the look of the whole app between three choices:

  • Light — bright and high-contrast, the default.
  • Dark — easier on the eyes in a dim office or at the end of a long day.
  • Follow your device — Tradesly matches whatever your phone or computer is set to, switching automatically when it does. If your devices go dark in the evening, Tradesly goes with them.

This is per-person, not per-business. You can live in dark mode while your office manager stays in light, and neither of you affects the other.

4 Tell the office whether you're reachable

In the header you'll find your status picker, with three settings:

  • Available — you're at your desk and can pick things up.
  • Busy — you're around but tied up.
  • Break — you're away; don't wait on you.

Flip it honestly as your day changes. A live call sometimes needs a person on short notice, and your status is how the office knows who it can actually turn to right now — an accurate Break is far more useful than an abandoned Available.

5 What's personal and what's not

Everything in this guide travels with your account, not the business: your profile, your password, your appearance choice, your status. Changing any of it never touches how the AI answers, what customers see, or anyone else's screen.

The business-wide settings — your company details, services, phone number, and who has access — live in Settings and belong to admins; Users and permissions covers who can change what. And if you've lost access to your account entirely — a forgotten password on a shared computer, a login that won't work — Getting help tells you how to reach us.
