You set the rules; the person always wins
Decide how much the AI handles alone — and expand its role when you're ready.
An AI on your phones is only as trustworthy as the limits you can put on it. In Tradesly, those limits are yours to set, in your own words — the AI's ceiling is your choice, not ours. Anything you don't trust it with becomes a rule that hands the call to a person, rather than a hope that it behaves.
1 Put the important limits into words
Use Coach to describe what the AI should handle and what should be passed to a person. Start with the situations that carry the most risk for your business, such as pricing, billing disputes, safety concerns, or jobs that need an owner or estimator.
For example:
“Never quote a price — put those callers through to a person.”
Keep a rule short and specific. Make and review the change in your test account, which any customer can request. Contact Tradesly after your team has approved the customer-facing result for live use.
2 What to do next
Open the test account.
Confirm the account or company name before coaching. Ask Tradesly for a sandbox if one is not available.
Describe one specific rule.
Open AI Team, choose Coach, and enter it in the coaching chat.
Review and rehearse it.
Approve only when the summary matches your intent, then test the covered situation and one ordinary call in the sandbox.
Prepare the transfer destination.
If the rule needs a phone handoff, open Settings, choose Live Transfer, set Teammate's phone number, and confirm Can place calls · Ready.
Record approval before live use.
Note the rule and the customer-facing result your team accepted, then contact Tradesly for the next live-account step.
3 Start cautious, expand when you're ready
You do not have to give the AI a wide role on day one. Start with conservative rules, listen to test calls, and adjust one behavior at a time. Clear, narrow changes are easier for your team to verify than a long message that changes several policies at once.
4 The person always wins
Your team can monitor a live call from Office, choose Take Over to speak, or use Live Transfer for the configured teammate. Watch the status shown on the call and use only the action that matches what you intend. If a handoff does not complete, return to the ticket, confirm what the customer heard, and arrange a follow-up.
5 Test every approved change
Keep untested coaching in the test account. If the result is wrong, return to coaching there and correct the instruction, or use Restore on an earlier test version your team understands. Contact Tradesly only after the intended result has been reviewed.
Restoring can replace newer coaching beyond the single rule you are reviewing. Read the confirmation carefully, coordinate with other admins, and repeat the important test calls after the restore.
Start with one rule you would most dislike getting wrong.
