The Pixel Office: your team at a glance
See everyone — human and AI — at work, and jump straight to whoever's on a call.
You can't glance across the room anymore. Half the team works from trucks, someone's remote on Tuesdays, and your hardest-working teammate — the Voice AI — never had a desk at all. “Who's on a call right now?” turns into squinting at a list.
The Pixel Office gives everyone a desk. It's an animated pixel-art strip of your office: a little character for each logged-in teammate, and one for your Voice AI, all at work on screen.
1 Who's in the picture
Everyone signed in appears as a character, the Voice AI included. The characters reflect what's really happening — when someone's on a call, their character shows it. One glance and you know who's talking and who's free, the way you used to know by looking over the partition.
2 It's a doorway, not just a decoration
Click a character who's on a call and you jump straight to their conversation. When you know who you're checking on — “is Priya still on that estimate call?” — that's faster than scanning rows: find the person, click, and you're reading along.
That makes the Pixel Office a second way into the same places the Office list goes. The list is organized by conversation; the strip is organized by person. Different questions, same one click to the answer.
3 The steps
Open your Office.
The strip sits above the list, on a phone as well as at a desk. On a small screen the room keeps its full width and you swipe along it.
Find the person, not the conversation.
Each signed-in teammate has a character, your Voice AI included, and a character shows when its teammate is on a call.
Click whoever has the customer.
You land in that conversation, reading along — the same place a Live row in the list would have taken you.
Let the room come to you on a phone.
The view follows the action: when a call needs someone, it pans to that desk before you go looking for it.
Fold it away when you want the room quiet.
Collapsed, it's a bar reading Office, and nothing about your calls changes either way.
4 The honest boundaries
- It shows who's signed in. A teammate who isn't logged in has no character, so the strip answers “who is working right now”, not “who works here”.
- It's collapsible. When you want the room quiet, fold it away — nothing else changes.
- It changes nothing about your calls. The Pixel Office is a view, not a control. Watching it, clicking it, or collapsing it never touches a live conversation.
5 Why it's there
Plenty of dashboards can tell you your team's status. This one makes you feel it — the office breathing, calls starting and ending, the AI at its desk taking the load. It's a little fun on purpose. It also happens to be the fastest answer in the app to “who's got the customer right now?” — and one click later you're watching that call, which is where Watching and listening to a live call picks up.
