Call Lists: dormant spreadsheets become revenue
Turn a list you already own into booked work, one respectful call at a time.
The follow-up work your team means to do often starts in a spreadsheet: open estimates, past customers, or leads that asked to hear from you. A Call List gives that work to your Sales Caller without making the upload itself place a call.
You decide who belongs on the list, what the Sales Caller should say, and when the list may run. Tradesly shows you what was accepted before you start, then gives every person a visible status as the work progresses.
1 What a Call List does
A Call List is a named group of people you want the Sales Caller to contact. Give it a plain name such as “July tune-ups” or “Open estimates — spring” so another admin can recognize it later.
Uploading and calling are separate actions. Create list with {n} people saves the list for review. Calls begin only after you choose Start calling and the Sales Caller is ready to place calls during the hours you configured.
Use only lists your business is permitted to contact. The confirmation in Tradesly records your attestation; it does not create permission or replace the consent records you are responsible for keeping.
A Do not call status stays with the lead across lists. If a later spreadsheet contains the same lead, the Sales Caller will not call them from the new list.
2 The steps
Open Call Lists from Leads.
The empty state offers Upload a list and Download a sample spreadsheet if you want a clean starting format.
Choose your spreadsheet and name the list.
Include a Phone column and add the identifying information your team will need when reviewing the list.
Read the preview.
Check the ready, skipped, duplicate, and unusable counts. Fix the source file first if the preview is not what you expected.
Confirm that you have permission to call the people listed.
Read the attestation carefully. Review the ticket disposition when verbal consent was recorded in Tradesly, and keep any additional evidence your business requires.
Create the list.
Select Create list with {n} people, then choose Start calling when the offer, setup, and calling window are ready. Choose Not yet if anyone should review it first.
3 Check readiness before you start
Open the Sales Caller’s Setup tab and review Ready to go live? Anything that needs attention has a Fix → action. Confirm the script, permitted calling hours, and your compliance process before starting real outreach.
Place a call to your own phone from Test Call whenever you change the offer or opener. A test call is the quickest way to hear what a customer will hear without putting a real lead on the spot.
4 Read the list while it runs
The active list carries a Calling pill. Open it to see who is waiting and which people already have a result. The number above left to call gives you the clearest progress check.
Use Stop calling whenever the offer, hours, or coaching needs another look. Use Add people only after reviewing the new rows, and use Retry now only when the screen shows that the people are eligible for another attempt. Do not re-upload a list to force activity; that makes the list harder for your team to audit.
The AI also checks each lead's current do-not-call status before calling. A fresh upload does not bypass an earlier restriction.
If the list is quiet, read its on-screen status and the Sales Caller’s Setup card before changing anything. Watching a list run explains the visible status labels and the safest next action for each one.
