It only promises what you can actually staff

Keep the team, job, and time settings behind customer booking choices accurate.

  • Where Schedule › Team

An appointment is a promise to a customer. That promise is only useful when your team can keep it, so Tradesly offers times from the schedule you maintain rather than asking the caller to choose from an empty calendar.

You stay in control of the facts behind those choices. Keep each person's hours, time off, and job skills current, then set the hours and arrival windows your business is willing to promise. When a suitable time isn't available, the caller is asked to choose another option or your office can follow up.

1 Keep the visible booking setup accurate

Review the parts of Schedule that your office maintains:

  • Team. Keep each person's ordinary hours and known time away current.
  • Jobs. Confirm that the people shown for a type of work are the people your office would actually assign.
  • Business Hours. Match the hours your business is prepared to offer customers.
  • Arrival Windows. Use the promise your team can repeat and keep consistently.

If a choice on a test call looks wrong, review those visible records before changing unrelated settings. The page shows what your office can correct; it does not require you to understand how availability is calculated behind the scenes.

2 What the customer sees

The customer hears or sees a short list of available choices. A confirmed appointment appears on the Board, where your team can see who has it and when it is due.

If your company uses arrival windows, repeat the full window back to the customer. If you use exact times, repeat the exact start time. When an appointment needs to move, choose from the times shown on the Board and tell the customer about the new promise.

Check the visible settings once, then make a test booking before customers rely on them.

3 What to do next

1

Check each person's hours.

In Schedule, open Team and review When they work, AI books, and Next two weeks for every person who takes bookings.

2

Check who can take the work.

Open Jobs, then use Pick Their Jobs on a person's card to confirm the work they can accept.

3

Set the times you promise.

In Settings, review Business Hours and Arrival Windows, then use Save changes when they match the way you schedule.

4

Make one test booking.

Call your own AI line, choose an offered time, and confirm that the appointment appears correctly on the Board.
