The Team view: people, skills and time off
The facts your bookings are built on: who works when, and who can take which job.
The Team view is the working roster behind your schedule. It shows who is active, when each person works, when the AI may offer their time, and when they are away.
Use it for the pattern your business expects to keep. Today's appointments stay on the Board; changing a person's roster does not move those appointments for you.
1 The steps
Open Team in Tradesly Schedule.
The heading reads “Team — weekly pattern,” and the plus button adds a Staff Member when someone new starts.
Set when each person works.
Their card's When they work carries the three rows — Working, AI books and On call — and Edit Details is where their name, phone and hours are changed.
Record time off when you hear about it.
Next two weeks sits on the same card with Add Time Off, so the upcoming absence is visible to the office.
Confirm each person's jobs.
Jobs they take opens Pick Their Jobs; keep it accurate when skills or assignments change.
Pause or archive when someone stops working.
Pause holds their hours for the day they're back and Resume returns them; Archive ends their future availability and keeps everything they've already done.
2 Keep each kind of time clear
The Team view separates the time your office records for a person into clearly named rows: Working, AI books, and On call. Use the label that matches the business decision you are recording, and review the summary shown on the person's card before you save.
Do not use one row as a substitute for another or assume that an empty row carries a special meaning. If the choices shown on a test booking do not match what your office intended, return to the person's card and confirm each visible row. Contact Tradesly if the correct setup is unclear for your account.
3 Away, or gone
Three situations look similar and mean different things, so the Team view treats them differently:
- Time off is a dated absence, such as a vacation or training day. Use Add Time Off and enter the dates.
- Paused is for someone who is unavailable until further notice. Their card stays in the Team view so you can use Resume when they return.
- Archived is for someone who has left the company. Their past work remains in your records.
After any of these changes, scan the person's future appointments on the Board. The roster change does not contact customers or move work that is already booked.
4 Keep work assignments current
Use Jobs they take and Pick Their Jobs to keep each person's visible work list current. Treat it as an operational record: it should match the jobs your office is prepared to assign to that person today.
Review the Jobs view after a hiring or staffing change. If a job type looks incomplete, correct the assignment before relying on a customer booking test.
5 When the AI should not offer someone
Use the control that matches the real situation shown on screen: update the relevant time row for an ordinary pattern, add time off for known dates, or use Pause for an open-ended absence. Afterward, review the person's card and future Board appointments so everyone who schedules work sees the same intended plan.
