Tradesly Schedule: talk to your schedule

Say what changed in plain English — the board makes the change, with Undo right on the card.

  • Audience Admins
  • Where Schedule, in the top nav
  • Shape Board · Team · Jobs

Schedule changes rarely arrive neatly. A technician is late, someone calls out, or a new hire starts Monday. Tradesly Schedule gives you a chat beside the board so you can describe one change in everyday language and review the result in the same place.

Keep each request clear: name the person or appointment, give a date or time, and say what should change. For example, you might say that Maya is out next Tuesday or ask who is free Friday afternoon. Read the returned card before moving on.

Some cards show that a change has been applied and offer Undo. Changes that need your decision may instead show Confirm assignment or a warning with Apply Anyway. Treat those prompts as a final review: check the person, date, time, and customer before you approve anything.

1 Three views, one conversation

The panel beside the chat has three views. Board shows scheduled work and items that need attention. Team shows people, hours, skills, working days, and time off. Jobs shows your job types and their assignments. Switch views whenever you need to confirm the effect of a change.

2 The steps

1

Describe one schedule change.

Open Schedule and enter one clear request. If you need a starting point, choose Add a new hire, Record time off, Set on-call coverage, or Change someone's hours.

2

Review the returned card.

Confirm the person, date, time, and requested change.

3

Approve only the intended change.

If the card asks for approval, choose Confirm assignment only when the details are correct. If it warns about a concern, review it before choosing Apply Anyway.

4

Check the schedule.

Open Board, Team, or Jobs to make sure it now looks the way you intended.

5

Reverse a mistake.

Choose Undo on the card. For an older edit, open Recent changes and use Undo or Redo there.

3 What it never does

  • It does not contact people.

The chat does not call, text, or email customers or team members for you.

  • It does not create a new booking.

Use the plus button above Board and add an Appointment instead.

  • It does not replace your review.

If the result looks wrong, do not approve it. Rephrase the request with the full name, date, and time, or use the matching schedule view.
