Callback Pro: calling back the people you missed

A missed call gets a call back — before the customer tries your competitor.

  • Where AI Team › Callback Pro

A missed call almost never comes back on its own. Someone with a leaking water heater doesn't leave a voicemail and wait — they hang up and dial the next company on the list. Every missed call is a customer who was, for one moment, ready to give you the job, and the clock on that moment runs out in minutes.

Callback Pro is designed to return eligible recent calls in your business’s name. It is rolling out now, so the controls and eligibility shown in your account are the authority for what is available to you.

1 What a callback sounds like

The customer should hear a truthful, recognizable reason for the call: they recently tried to reach your business and you are returning it. From there, the call should stay within the services, offers, and handoff boundaries you approved.

Do not assume every missed-call event is eligible for an automated callback. Wrong numbers, spoofed calls, purpose, consent, contact restrictions, local calling hours, and recording requirements can all matter. Configure the feature with the person responsible for your calling policy.

2 Shape the customer experience

Describe the opener, business identity, permitted purpose, and situations that should reach a person in plain language. Focus on what the customer should hear rather than trying to specify how a missed call is detected or routed.

“When you call someone back, apologize for missing them first, and if it's after hours offer the first slot tomorrow morning.”

Review the current behavior with your Tradesly contact and test it using a number you control before enabling customer callbacks. Describe the change explains the coaching workflow used across your AI team.

3 Where it stands today

Callback Pro is new and rolling out now. Your account may not yet show self-service controls, and the feature may apply only to the numbers and callback cases confirmed by the Tradesly team. Do not describe it to staff or customers as covering every missed call until you have verified the behavior on your own lines.

There is nothing for you to turn on today. Here's the honest route in:

4 What to do next

1

Ask your Tradesly contact to switch Callback Pro on for your business.

Email support@tradesly.ai if you don't have one. Identify the business numbers you want reviewed; do not send customer phone numbers in ordinary email.

2

Define the customer-facing boundaries.

Confirm the truthful opener, purpose, recipient-local hours, consent basis, contact restrictions, recording practice, and situations that should reach a person.

3

Test with a number you control.

Place an eligible test call, let it go unanswered, and review the callback experience, business identity, timing, and any resulting booking or follow-up.

4

Watch missed calls from Office during rollout.

Continue reviewing unanswered calls yourself until your team has verified which cases Callback Pro covers.

5

Review results after activation.

Sample completed callbacks and stop the feature if the reason for calling, recipient, timing, or handoff does not match the approved policy.
