Create your account

Sign up, confirm your email, and step into your new front office.

  • Where Sign-up, at tradesly.ai

Getting a new phone system used to mean a sales call, an install date, and a binder. Tradesly starts with an email address. You can go from creating an account to hearing your own AI receptionist answer the phone in a single afternoon — most of that time is you deciding how you want it to sound.

1 Signing up

Create your account in the Tradesly app with your email address and a password. Tradesly sends a confirmation email; open it and confirm, and your account is live. If the email hasn't arrived after a couple of minutes, check your spam or junk folder — confirmation emails end up there more often than anyone would like.

Use an email address you actually read. It's how you'll sign in, and it's where anything about your account will reach you.

2 The steps

1

Fill in the “Create your account” screen.

First name, last name, email address, and a password you type twice.

2

Press Create account.

The screen changes to “Check your email”. If nothing arrives in a couple of minutes, look in junk and use Resend Email.

3

Open the email and confirm.

That link is what activates the account and hands you straight to setup.

4

Work through the three setup steps.

They're labeled Website, Phone and Agent — the screen counts them off as “Step 1 of 3”.

5

Finish setup and land on your Dashboard.

That's your front office from here on, and the first thing it suggests is the best thing you can do: call your own new number.

3 What happens next

The setup wizard is three steps, in this order:

  1. Website. Find your business with a search, give Tradesly your website address, or type your details in by hand. Tradesly reads your website and learns your services, hours, and story so you don't have to type them. Tell us about your business covers it.
  2. Phone. Choose a local number your customers will recognize — Tradesly suggests one that matches where you work. See Pick your AI phone number.
  3. Agent. A short coaching conversation where you tell your AI, in plain language, how your business talks. See Train your receptionist — your first coaching conversation.

Each step has its own guide in this collection, so you can read ahead or just follow the screens — they explain themselves.

When the three steps are done you land on your Dashboard — your front office from here on. Call your own new number from your cell and hear your receptionist answer. Your first test call covers what to listen for.

4 Worth having handy

You don't need paperwork to sign up, but two things make setup smoother:

  • Your website address, if you have one. It's the fastest way for Tradesly to learn your business — services, hours, the story you tell customers. No website is fine too; you'll just type a little more.
  • Your cell phone, for the test call at the end. There's no better way to judge your new receptionist than being your own first caller.

5 One account, then your team

Sign up yourself first — the first account belongs to the owner or whoever runs the office. Once your receptionist is answering, you can bring in everyone else from inside the app; Invite your team shows how, and what your admins can do that everyone else can't.

Next step: Tell us about your business.
